Why online works outside Dublin
You share photos, measurements or plans, and the design work happens by video call and email. No travel fees, no waiting for a free afternoon, and you can fit calls around work and family. Evening calls are normal, because that is when most people can actually talk about their house.
It suits the new estates in Naas, Maynooth, Celbridge, Enfield, Navan, Ratoath, Ashbourne and Dunboyne, and equally homes in Galway, Cork, Limerick or anywhere in Ireland. If you can send a photo and an email, you can work with an online designer.
What online design can and cannot do
Online design is excellent at the things that most homes actually need: layout and spatial planning, colour schemes, flooring and finish choices, kitchen and bathroom direction, lighting plans, furniture selection and shopping lists. All of that works from plans, photos and measurements.
What it does not do is project-manage a renovation on site. If you are knocking walls or rewiring, you still need your builder and possibly an architect for the structural side. The designer's role is to make sure every decision made on site is the right one for how you want to live.
What you get
The Orla Edit packages: The Design Edit (€149, a one-hour consultation plus a written action plan), The Room Edit (€249, one full room), The Home Edit (€449, two connected rooms) and The Signature Home Edit (bespoke whole-home, price on enquiry).
Every package includes mood boards, colour plans, layout advice and shopping lists with options at different prices, including IKEA and high-street pieces. The shopping lists are specific: named products, sizes and prices, so you can order directly or use them as a benchmark when you are browsing locally.
The Kildare and Meath reality
A huge number of Kildare and Meath homes are new builds or recent estates, and their owners share the same situation: a blank-canvas house, a mortgage that has eaten the budget, and a long list of rooms that all need something. That is exactly the brief The Orla Edit is built for. A whole-home direction set early, then the key rooms designed properly, with the rest following a clear plan as budget allows.
